Good day Lovelies, Kayla and I decided to come up with a fun challenge during one of our many daily calls. We have done so much shopping lately however we realized we really don't wear what we buy. We are saving some items because we need a shirt, or shoes, or even tights to pull off our amazing outfit we envision. We also discussed how thankful we are for all our blessings. We decided to show our thankfulness in honor of Thanksgiving and we challenge you to do the same. We will not purchase any new items in November instead we are shopping our closets.

BooBQue Sunday

I had a fun, busy, amazing Sunday. Yesterday was my annual BooBQue (Halloween party) and I enjoyed myself. I didn't take many pictures yesterday but I hope someone did and will post or send them so I can share.

Good morning Beautifuls

Last night I decided two things, I would search questions that most bloggers answer so you can know me better and play in my new make up I posted yesterday for Wordless Wednesday.

...well I thought I would answer questions about me however I could not find any online. I did find relationship and interview questions but none to help me with personal questions. I'm always thinking "on my feet" so I'll just share some random facts about me.

I'M ADDICTED TO THE PUPPY CAM!!!!

Good Afternoon Lovelies……

This blog post will be quick…..yeah, I know what you’re thinking. “Where the heck has she been”.  Well, it has been a hectic year for me so expect for me to be “coming” and “going” until I can get my groove back.  I HAD to drop in to post about was my new obsession….THE PUPPY CAM!!!  I was listening to talk radio and a spot came on about the importance of adopting pets versus Pet Store animal purchases and the commercial featured animals at the Washington Animal Rescue League; a great organization where you can go to adopt your next pet.  I was immediately intrigued.  We lost our beloved dog of 8 years, Mugsy, this summer and it was a devastating loss that came on the heels of a devastating year.  When I logged on I was immediately inundated with waging tails and cute little noses pressed against the camera.  That was it, I was hooked.  I have been monitoring these little cutie pies for the last 3 days and I must say, I have become attached.  I know that my husband isn’t quite ready to jump on the puppy bandwagon quite this soon.  He really wants to wait until the spring when he can take the necessary time to potty train when the weather isn’t crazy cold.  I must agree but these little guys have totally stolen my heart which is why I think that the Puppy Cam notion is a stroke of genius.  Anyone that clicks on that button and enters that space cannot help but want not just a dog… but THAT dog.  I must say marketing at its finest.  Bravo Washington Animal Rescue League!!!  I applaud your creativity and I am certain that any dog lucky enough to be rescued by your organization has an amazing shot at a great adoptive life.   Those that are in the Washington, DC area and are in the market for a new family member, please go check out the Washington animal rescue league at warl.org.  And be sure to take a peek into the Puppy Cam, you won’t be sorry….Oh yeah, for those Kitty lovers out there, there is also a kitty cam….I know, right J

It's Monday

Good Afternoon...

I hope you're having a wonderful day. I wish I could say my day is great but I'm having a "feeling some type of day." If you've never heard the expression, I'll explain.

Have you ever had a day where you were not happy or sad?

I'm having that day. I'm not sad or upset, or happy, or enthused. As I sit here eating my lunch, a grilled chicken salad that's usually my favorite Monday lunch, I'm feeling emotionless.

Maybe I have a case of Monday, lol, I don't know what that mean, and I actually just chuckled because I always hear the term but just realized I don't know what it means. (I just tried to Google it but couldn't get a connection so I will post what it means later.)

A couple things in the works:
We are going to plan a couple giveaways for our subscribers for the remainder of the year. (shameless plug for you to subscribe here.)

We will post a December challenge.

We will also have a "Who Wore it Best" and you're the judge.

Shopping our closets will probably happen on month. (Hopefully I can get Kayla on board for November but it may be December or maybe we will begin the year off.)

speaking of closets, I know I owe pictures of how I transitioned my room into a closet, pictures coming soon, actually before the weekend.

Happy Monday

Good evening, I hope you had an awesome day. I have to admit my day started slow and I felt blah the majority of the day. I started the clean eating cleanse on Thursday and by Friday evening my attitude changed, not to mention the horrible sugar detoxing headache. Saturday was a little better when I began my one clean meal and 2 shakes/smoothies daily. (I'll post more about my cleanse and supplements in a different post).

My high, the best moment of today is that my awesome big sister got married...I am so happy for her. That totally made my day.

WTF, Actually that's Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday

Good early morning, I've had my challenges the last couple days. We anticipated a huge storm on Wednesday but the rain wasn't too bad, however, my power went out. *cue sad face*. I thought my power would come back on after a couple hours at the most but I was wrong. It stayed out until after I went to work after noon on Thursday. Usually my power doesn't go out so I was a little lost. It did make me aware I need a plan. I will research "in case of emergency" plans and share the links. Well my power is back and I'm a happy camper. 

I missed Wordless Wednesday so I'll just double up next week.

My new news, I finally made the purchase and have AppleTV. Let me just say it was amazing and very entertaining / informative watching YouTube and my favorite bloggers on the big screen. It also made me realize I need to do a better job with my videos. I am going to use different tools/cameras for videos and see if any offer the quality I'm seeking. Please offer your recommendations if you don't mind sharing what you use.

Yesterday also marked my first day of clean eating. I struggled with breakfast because I had no power but I managed to avoid temptation and not eat anything "bad" in my house. 

It's FRIDAY, TGIF!!!

Really??? Yes, I'm Watching...

...Monday Night Football. It's awesome and I'm interested in the game. I'm learning my players and trying to decide who's jersey I'm going to wear. Slay is doing his thing or at least I'm impressed with him so far. I have to cheer and show love for Detroit's own Bell, and I can't forget Johnson, Bush and Tate are my second favs. All in all, so far so good...it doesn't hurt were winning now...I interrupt my post...could it be that we just got a turnover...fingers crossed for a favorable call and we get the ball. YAY INTERCEPTION LIONS!!! I hope we get a "W" tonight.

Came back to add, woohoo, another interception and great decision QB, I see you Stafford.

Are You Ready For Some Football?

It's the beginning of FOOTBALL SEASON and the beginning of the struggle with Kayla and Sonya. We are so different when it comes to sports.

Kayla loves sports!!! She can tell you different facts about players, give you stats from college and sometimes even high school. She is truly a fan.

On the other hand, I am completely different. I will go to games but I can't tell you the players (unless they're on a reality show or dating someone on a reality show). I can only tell who win and lose because of other people's FB stats, tweets, or on Instagram.

Game days for Kayla are like tailgating. She will be out or home with her jersey (custom made, see picture below), cold beer and some type game day food enjoying the games.

I'm usually napping, relaxing, drinking, shopping or visiting, basically nothing whatsoever dealing with sports.

I realized that I usually don't post what's in my packages. I will mention that I love getting packages but never show what I received. Well today that changes, below are pictures of some of my favorite necklaces. I love them and cannot wait to wear them.

It's Friday, TGIF

It's Friday, for some it's the best day of the week. Are you one that looks forward to the weekend?

Well I feel like it's a holiday, a bonus, close to the best day ever, just kidding. I know you're probably tired of hearing about my braids but they are coming out today. WOOHOO!!!

That's actually not why I'm posting today. I want to share (and encourage you to join me if you wish) that I'm doing Dr. Junger's  Clean Cleanse. It is a 31 day program that I can extend if I wish. I start on Tuesday with 3 days of the Pre-Cleanse, 21 days of the Cleanse (or longer), and 7 days of Reintroduction. Please visit the website to see if you are interested.
