My Change is Coming...

Good evening Lovelies, 

I know I'm talking about my change, it's coming. You know how you come to a point when you know you need to change. I know I need to change. I know I need to step out my comfort zones and honestly I'm scared. 

My change is a transformation. I need to transform so many areas. Although scared, I'm excited to share my journey. I'm changing my diet, my schedule, less social media, more reading, more vacations, and more AND less. I know I mentioned the vision board, I will work on that and complete hopefully before Christmas.

It's My Mom's Birthday...and Changes, Changes, Changes

I'm back again...

Today has been awesome, it's my Mom's birthday and I had an awesome day celebrating with her. My Mom is so relaxed and laid back, totally a family person. All my Mom wanted was her family together and we had a pizza party. It was great seeing my family and this is always a motivating prelude for the holidays.

On a different note, my change is coming. I'm destined for greatness and I'm coming into my season. I will definitely be making some changes. I know I have some areas I need to improve and some new areas I need to explore.

I will share what I'm doing and what's going on...be on the lookout.

It's Dusty in Here...

Excuse me while I dust and clean up the blog...need to spray some air freshener, open some windows, turn on the heat...

I know, I know...shame on me, well actually shame on us (I'm including Kayla too, lol). It's been a while but we're back. I know we disappeared and neither of us have a good reason but like I said we're back.

I know holidays always put me in the sharing mood, the positive mode, the creative zone, and the hopeful lane.

I believe I'm stepping in my season of change. It's time for me to reflect on this year. I have a little over a month to accomplish goals I set for the year. It's also time for me to focus on where I want to be next year.

Well I don't want to wear you out with my return post but I will ask that you stop by tomorrow to hear more.

*hangs head in shame* I know I haven't posted and my apologies but no excuses. I'm back!!! It's no challenges this week however I need to prep for my Baby's birthday.

Prayers for Tomorrow: First Day of School.

Good evening Lovelies,

I know a lot of schools / classes have already begun but tomorrow is the first day for my son.

Here's are prayers for all students, teachers, parents, and anyone else involved.

It’s the first day of school, Lord.

It’s a big day for all of us. Students full of questions and doubts and excitement. Teachers full of ideas and plans and dreams. Mommas full of all the emotions.

Protect our babies, Lord.Whether it’s the first day of kindergarten or middle school, or college, those students are our children. And we want today to be full of good things. Let them make friends and reach out to those who are lonely.  Give them attentive minds and caring hearts. Use our babies, God, to be a blessing to others.

Bless the teachers, God. These men and women who have committed to invest in the next generation. Give them discernment and wisdom to see each student’s unique abilities and gifts. Multiply their preparation and may their plans be fruitful. Fill the day with moments of wonder. Remind them of their special place in the lives of their students and give them confidence in their abilities as teachers.

And for all the mommas, Lord, a prayer for peace. Give us plenty to do so we don’t have time to fret. Let us be extraordinarily grateful for the privilege of parenting. Fill us with wisdom as we watch out babies grow. Grant us patience and kindness as they stretch their wings. Hold us close to You as we learn to let them go.

It’s the first day of school, Lord.

Watch over all of us — students, teachers, and moms. Guard our hearts. Focus our minds. Draw us to You.

Happy Sunday and Labor Day Weekend!!! I owe you all an update so let me fill you in. I'm going to share about back to school time, the weather, what happened to the challenge, what's in the works and goals.

Can you believe school begins Tuesday? I know it's late for some states but the children will head out for their first day Tuesday. I'm excited and nervous. I have a kindergartener going to a new school all day and I don't know the teacher. Well I don't know her yet. School is beginning and I believe my son is ready, he's better than me. Pray for all the children, all over the world, that it's a safe and productive year. Pray for the teachers / instructors / administrators that will be dedicated, caring, and responsible for our babies during the day.

Now about this weather, I hope you're enjoying our extended summer in Detroit. This weather feels great and I'm loving it. The down side of fabulous weather is that I'm NOT retiring my white yet. Yes, you will see me in white.

The update on the challenge is that I neglected it half way through the week because it was so hot. My plaid is warmer so I looked out of place and of season. I will revisit this challenge once it's cooler.
