Meaningful Monday...

It's Monday, motivational, move it, more, meaningful, magnificent...you name it and it's that Monday.
I had an emotional day, one that hurt me deeply. It's my Aunt Odessa (celebrating in heaven) birthday. I just had to share and acknowledge her today.
So now this is my week to discuss scarves. I took some pictures but they aren't good, clear, nice quality. I need to get a digital SLR and computer, okay excuse me, back on topic. My intention was to have an elaborate post with pictures of all the details, my outfit, my jewelry, my makeup, etc. but my camera had other plans.
Here's me...wearing my black infinity scarf. Enjoy.

So much for my elaborate photoshoot and amazing pictures. I hope you can at least really see how I styled my scarf.

Good evening Lovelies,
Happy Sunday!!! In an effort to make the blog and our post better and meaningful, I decided to think of a theme and post about it for the week.
This week I would be discussing scarves. I hope you're starting to know us better and know that we care about ourselves but more importantly, we care about each other, our family, our friends, our community.
Life has a way of weaving thoughts and actions together. I knew I wanted to discuss scarves this week but it's amazing how I found the picture below, TODAY. I was touched and moved to action so I shared the picture on Facebook and Kayla was touched also. I just want to take a moment and focus on our community or those in need around us. Sometimes we don't see the need because we don't see those in need.

If it's in your heart, I encourage you to participate and tie a couple scarves in deprived areas. I'm believing you will help so I'm thanking you in advance.
I want to add, this week will not only focus on community involvement. I will share ideas, tips and my pictures. I love scarves so I'm challenging myself to wear one everyday this week. Highlight: I guess I need to post outfits of the day to showcase my scarf and me accomplishing my challenge. Yay, go me!!!

 

Restful and Relaxing

Good evening Lovelies, What a Saturday! I'm usually extremely busy or extremely relaxed. Today was a busy day at home. I spent the majority of the morning working on my iPad. I downloaded so many apps and learned a few new things. I spent the afternoon watching movies, in my world that's my relaxing. Overall it was a great day. I hope your Saturday was great as well. 2015 begins with a BANG

Happy Saturday Guys,

It has been a minute since my last blog post. There has been so much happening over the last few months. I've been celebrating my 40th birthday for the last month. I've been all over and celebrated with some of my favorite people. I've vowed to make 2015 a different year for me. I want to step out of my comfort zone and take on new challenges, trying different things.  I'm so glad that you guys will be along for the ride. What new things do you have planned for 2015?

Good evening Lovelies,
I am still recovering from my awesome trip to DC. I returned home Monday night, didn't really sleep because I was still on high from the trip. I should've took Tuesday off but I went to work. Worked (and did a little hanging out / networking) on Thursday and today. I wasn't really tired during the week and wasn't really tired when I came home but now, I will admit I'm tired. 
Today, well tonight I decided to catch up on my DVR. I was actually weeks behind but glad to catch up. Here's my list of shows I watched tonight, let me know what you watch:

I'm So Ready!!!

Good evening Lovelies,

I'm so excited and so ready for Thursday. My trip to DC cannot come fast enough. We have a full schedule. Thursday night I have some availability although I hope I am busy celebrating with my Sorority Sisters. Friday is when the action begins, we begin our day with a photoshoot. W will take our official pictures for all of social media, then we're shopping, preparing for our meet up at The Park. Saturday will be just as busy. On Sunday, I want to do brunch so please send your recommendation (preferably somewhere with bottomless mimosas). Not sure about Sunday evening yet. I know this schedule will change but I'm excited and anxious.

It's Ruby's Birthday...

Well that's Mother, Aunt, Sister and Friend to many but to Kayla and me, it's Happy Birthday Grandma!!!

Good afternoon Lovelies,

In case you didn't know, Ruby Rules is in honor of our Grandmother. Grandma Ruby was the best grandmother anyone could ever wish for. She was a "Jane of all Trades", awesome cook and baker, very kind and giving, excellent storyteller, great talker, family historian, never met a stranger, creative...well we hope you get the picture because her list is truly endless. The day she left us was sad however she left us with so much information, knowledge, stories, anecdotes that we're still reflecting on her words and advice.
As a birthday present we updated the blog. Also, we have more changes in the works so subscribe, stay awhile and visit often to enjoy this ride.
